Camp Moore Research
Camp Moore has some resources for persons wishing information about their ancestor or information about Louisiana during the war.  Unfortunately our volunteer staff is not equipped to do research for you, therefore all research at Camp Moore must be done on the site.

We have two major sources of material. First, we have a library consisting of just over 2000 books, all dealing with the war or genealogy.  We hope to publish a list of those books on this site shortly.

Secondly, we have an extensive collection of Vertical Files in 4 4-drawer filing cabinets.  These files consist of a biographical section in which biographical material on some individuals is available.  We also have a section on copies of letters and diaries.  Additionally, there is a section on Battlefields of Louisiana as well as National Battlefields.  There are also sections devoted to Camp Moore and then a Miscellaneous section that has files alphabetized on many, many topics dealing with the war.

Research Room visits are free of charge for visitors not wishing to tour the museum.
