Friends of Camp Moore & Memorial Brick Program
Friends of Camp Moore

The Friends of Camp Moore is a support organization that was formed to allow people a means to help in the support of Camp Moore.  Formed in 1999, we have been blessed with support from many people across the country.

We use the funding from the Friends of Camp Moore strictly  to purchase new artifacts for our museum to expand our collection of items pertinent to interpreting the role of Louisiana and Louisiana soldiers in the War for Southern Independence.

The benefits include free admission to the Camp Moore Museum for a year and a 10% discount on purchases made in our gift shop.

You may join the Friends of Camp Moore by either paying online in the form below left or by clicking on the link to the bottom right, filling out the form and sending in your payment to Camp Moore.
Memorial Brick Program

In the year 2000, Camp Moore installed a Memorial Brickyard around the flagpole in front of the Museum.  The design was in the shape of a Confederate Battle Flag, 30 ft. x 30 ft.  Since that time, we have replaced over 600 of the 3000+ bricks with engraved bricks that people can purchase to have placed in the courtyard.

The four fields of the flag are appropriately named Honor, Courage, Duty and Valor.  These bricks allow the purchaser to leave a lasting memorial to a soldier they wish to honor, a loved one or just a special friend.  We have no limitation on the inscriptions other than it must be "tasteful" and not offensive in any manner.

The cost of the bricks is $60.00 each and may be purchased by using the attached form.  Users may designate up to 4 lines of text with 15 spaces per line.  You will also receive a certificate acknowledging participation in the program and a photograph of your brick.

Bricks are only ordered 3 times per year and take up to 4 months to be delivered.  Please allow time for us to purchase, receive and install your brick.  See the images below of our Memorial Courtyard.  Thank you for your support!
All proceeds from brick sales are also put with Friends of Camp Moore proceeds to purchase artifacts to enhance the historical collection at Camp Moore
