Committed to telling the story of Louisiana during the war and the part taken by her sons

Our Museum is open from Wednesday thru Saturday from 10:00 AM until 3:00 PM.   We are closed for all National Holidays.

The grounds at Camp Moore are open 7 days a week from daylight to dusk for pedestrians.  You are welcome to walk the grounds and take our self-guided walking tour.  Please respect the grounds and leave them in the same condition you found them.

Camp Moore Reenactment
Our annual Reenactment and Living History event is held the weekend BEFORE Thanksgiving each year.  Check back, though, to make sure that it has not been changed.  Spectators are welcome for a nominal fee to tour the Museum, tour the soldier campsites and watch a scripted battle each day complete with infantry, artillery and cavalry.  Specialty impressions are often on site.  Food and beverages may be purchased on the site.  Come on out!  It's as close as you'll ever get!
Reenactors please click on the buttons below for Reenactor Guidelines and Online Registration Form.
Thank you!
